Content

To run Self Service on a Windows system you may do the following (or similar, depending on the individual system's configuration):

  1. Open Physics Self Service. Menu: Start -> All Programs/Apps -> Physics Self Service
  2. Select the application you wish to install
  3. Click "Install/Run Selected" button
  4. Follow the installation instructions. Most Self-Service installations should be silent and require no input from you or use default settings.

Running Self Service will show the complete list of applications currently available.

Most Self-Service installations should be silent and require no input from you. Resist the temptation to interact with the installation and only do so if the installation has been waiting for several minutes for some input.

There may be more than one version of any software package available.
There are also options to update software, remove/uninstall software and to request new items for the list.
Some software is available only on request and some may require a licence. Such software will only be listed on your system if you have made a request for it or have a licence.
When Self Service is run the extra options and the full list of software available to your system are listed.

When using Self Service you do not have to download any installation kits or other items.
