How to access your macOS computer via the command line

To access you macOS computer via the command line you will need to first connect to the SSH gateway service into the physics department, if you are using a Physics Apple system then you can add the settings via the Self Service application or you can manually configure the SSH gateway settings by following the instructions here.

Once you have opened a gateway into the Physics department you can then SSH into your machine. Remember to type the full DNS path for your system e.g:

username@computername.nat.physics.ox.ac.uk
